It is imperative that educators stay up to date with the latest technology trends. As our society progress towards being more technologically advanced, educators must continue to progress in their technological fluency. Ill add a link to a website that I found called Education Week. This website provides weekly updates for educators with a heavy influence on educational technologies. There are quick links to Virtual Education/ Distance Learning, Open Educational Resources, How Digital Materials are Used in Classrooms, and much more! https://www.edweek.org/ew/issues/technology-in-education/index.html

I feel very comfortable making a PowerPoint presentation, as I have created them for work and school purposes for many years now. Though originally I struggled creating the Nonlinear PowerPoint, I eventually figured it out and absolutely loved the end result. I really like how the nonlinear style provides the creator with so many possibilities for the end result. I created a Jeopardy-Style Review game, and I definitely see myself using this style presentation in the future. The only aspect of the nonlinear design that I did not line was the semi-painstaking process of creating multiple buttons and linking them to various slides. I also really enjoyed adding the voice-over to the first PowerPoint assignment and think it would be a great way to teach a lesson if you are sick or absent for some reason.

I really enjoyed reading my professor’s blog post this week and will link it below! One of my favorite aspects about her post is that she took the time to link the blog posts of all students as she referenced them. I find it very interesting to see all of the virtual tools and Web 2.0 tools listed side by side from week 5. I was slightly surprised to see some social media tools such as Tik Tok and Instagram listed, as I never would have considered those tools to be used for educational purposes.

I commented on Olivia WIlkening's post and on Kemory Rhoade's post. I really loved seeing the screenshots of their PowerPoint assignments!
